Action required: CPCS claim period change from 1st June

NHS England (NHSE) has announced from 1st June 2023, in a change from the previous Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS) service specification, claims for payment should be submitted within one month of, and no later than three months from the claim period for the chargeable activity provided. The change normalises the grace period for service claims from its previous position of six months to three months, which is the case for most of the other Advanced services.

PSNC encourages contractors to ensure they have reviewed and submitted any outstanding CPCS claims on the Manage Your Service portal to avoid any potential service fee losses as a result of this reduced grace period for claims.
