AMR and Stoptober campaigns – have you received your campaign materials?

AMR and Stoptober campaigns – have you received your campaign materials?

August 28, 2019

Community pharmacy contractors should have now received Public Health England (PHE) resources for the antimicrobial resistance (AMR) campaign and Stoptober campaign, which contractors are required to participate in. If contractors have not received these campaign materials, they should email partnerships@phe.gov.uk stating the pharmacy name, address and name of the campaign(s) they have not received materials for so these can be delivered ahead of the start of the AMR campaign, which starts on 1st September 2019.

The resources for both campaigns, including activation guides, should have been delivered together in the same clearly marked envelope to pharmacies between 14th – 27th August 2019.

Contractors are required to participate in the AMR campaign from 1st September – 30th September 2019 and the Stoptober campaign from 1st October – 31st October 2019. The campaigns are two of six campaigns, which have been agreed between PSNC and NHS England and NHS Improvement, as part of the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework; therefore, all contractors must participate in both of these campaigns.

Social media and digital resources for the AMR campaign are now available on PHE’s Campaign Resource Centre; contractors are encouraged to use these resources if possible. Social media and digital resources for the Stoptober campaign will be available closer to the start date of the campaign.

AMR webinar

Contractors are reminded that PHE is holding a webinar about AMR tomorrow (Thursday 29th August) at 7.30pm, to help pharmacy teams to make the most of the upcoming AMR campaign.
