CPAF screening process a few weeks to go

June 14, 2019

Community pharmacy contractors are reminded that they have until Sunday 30th June 2019 to complete the 2019/20 Community Pharmacy Assurance Framework (CPAF) screening questionnaire.

56% of contractors had submitted the survey as of 18 June, which is broadly in line with previous years. Last year, 98% had completed it by the deadline.

PSNC recommends that any contractor who has yet to do so takes immediate action. It should only take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

All contractors should have received information and instructions on how to complete the screening questionnaire either via email from the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) or from their own Head Office. If a contractor has not received this then it is available on NHS BSA’s website and you will need to enter the pharmacy ODS/F Code into the box provided to access the survey.

If contractors have any problems or queries completing the questionnaire then please contact NHSBSA by emailing

PSNC has published PSNC Briefing 021/19: CPAF screening process (May 2019) which builds upon guidance from last year, explains updates to this year’s questionnaire (relating to safeguarding and the pharmacy-based audit) and includes guidance on other areas which we have previously provided.

For further guidance, please visit our contract monitoring webpage or NHS Business Services Authority’s website.
