The NHS Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS) will commence on 29th October 2019 and the Toolkit to support pharmacy teams to provide the service has just been published on the NHSBSA website.

The Toolkit has been developed by NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSE&I), with input from the Urgent Care Delivery and Implementation Group (a group of NHS and community pharmacy experts set up by PSNC and NHSE&I to help implement the CPCS).

It contains two sections – the first is a short briefing on the service which is aimed at all pharmacy team members. The second section contains more detail on the service, so it can be used as a reference guide and pharmacists who will be providing the service will find it useful to read in full.

Not registered to provide the service?

If pharmacy contractors haven’t registered to provide the CPCS, they can do so now and claim the Transition payment supplement (£900 if claimed by 1st December 2019), by completing the declaration on the NHSBSA Manage Your Service (MYS) portal.

Did you miss the PSNC and NHSE&I webinar on CPCS?

On Monday, PSNC and NHSE&I held a joint webinar for pharmacy teams and others interested in learning more about the service and how to implement it; nearly 500 people tuned in on the night and 98% of people responding to the feedback survey found it useful.
