Dexcom One products to be exempt from discount deduction

Dexcom One products will enter the Drugs for which Discount is Not Deducted (DND) list (Part II of the Drug Tariff) from 1st April 2023.

The assumed level of discount normally applied when community pharmacy contractors dispense medicines and appliances will no longer be applied to Dexcom One products.

Following representations from PSNC supported by Dexcom International Ltd, PSNC requested that due to the unique nature and distribution of the Dexcom One products that they be considered for addition to the DND list to help mitigate against losses incurred by contractors when dispensing this appliance.

The following Dexcom One products will be added to Discount Not Deducted (DND) list (Part II of the Drug Tariff) on 1st April 2023:

  • Dexcom One Sensor
  • Dexcom One Transmitter
  • Dexcom One CGM System

Earlier this year PSNC were also successful in the addition of the Dexcom One Transmitter and Dexcom One CGM System to the Drug Tariff as appliances. Previously this was unremunerated work carried out by pharmacies.
