Extended FP34C submission deadline for prescriptions dispensed in April 2023
With the early May bank holiday (1 May 2023) occurring in the first five days of the submission window contractors have an extra day, until the end of 6th of May, to submit their April FP34C declaration using the Manage Your Service (MYS) portal and to dispatch their prescription bundle to the relevant pricing division at the NHSBSA. The extended submission deadline applies to any month where one or more bank holiday occurs during the first five days of the month.
In these months, the earlier advance payment date will remain as four working days from the extended submission/dispatch deadline of the 6th of the month. Contractors who submit their FP34C declaration through MYS no later than the 6 May 2023 will secure access to earlier advance payments on 12 May 2023. Contractors who submit their April FP34C figures late through MYS will NOT receive any earlier advance payments but instead will receive their advance payments in accordance with the normal payment timetable i.e. on 23 May 2023.
Please note the requirement to submit electronic Claim Notification (CN) messages or Electronic Reimbursement Endorsement Messages (EREMs) within the first 5 days of the following month remains unchanged. To avoid any delays to payment for electronic prescriptions dispensed in April (Dispense Notification messages submitted by 30 April 2023), contractors must submit the corresponding CN messages or EREMs no later than the 5 May 2023.
To avoid any administrative charges of £25 for late submission of prescription forms, pharmacy contractors must also dispatch their prescription bundle to the relevant pricing division at the NHSBSA no later than 6 May 2022.
