Foundation Pharmacy Technician Framework: National survey

January 8, 2020

The Association of Pharmacy Technicians UK (APTUK) and Health Education England (HEE) have now begun stage two of the Foundation Pharmacy Technician Role Analysis after a positive response from initial focus groups run by the Work Psychology Group (WPG).

All pharmacy professionals are now invited to take part in a national survey, intended to guide a review of the skills required as an early-years pharmacy technician. This review will support the development of an attributes framework, and define the professional capabilities to be developed during pharmacy technician training ahead of new qualifications due to launch in February 2020.

Pharmacy professionals are asked to register their interest by 23rd January 2020 to take part in the online survey. The survey will run from 24th January to 9th February 2020 and should take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

Participants who complete the survey will be entered in a draw to win a £100 Amazon gift voucher from WPG.

If you have any queries about the role analysis or the survey, please contact Jessica Pickard: j.pickard@workpsychologygroup.com
