Further pause to NMS quarterly data reporting

Community pharmacy contractors are not required to submit their completed New Medicine Service (NMS) summary data to the NHS Business Services Authority for April to June 2022 as this requirement has been postponed again for this quarter.

In December, PSNC advised that this requirement, which was suspended during the pandemic, would be re-instated from Quarter 1 of 2022/23 (April- June 2022). However, following discussions with PSNC, NHS England and NHS Improvement has today advised in their Primary Care Bulletin that this requirement will now not be reinstated for Quarter 1. Information on when this requirement will be reinstated will be issued in due course.
