Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has issued a Medicine Supply Notification (MSN) for Benperidol (Anquil®) 250microgram tablets.

Date of issue: 16/03/2022
- Benperidol (Anquil®) 250 microgram tablets will be out of stock from the end of March 2022 with a resupply date to be confirmed.
- Management options during this shortage should be determined on a case-by-case basis, in consultation with the appropriate mental health specialist.
A copy of this medicine supply notification, including further information, has been sent to all pharmacy NHS email addresses.
DHSC and NHSE/I have now launched an online Medicines Supply Tool, which provides up to date information about medicine supply issues. The contents of these MSNs can now be viewed on the Tool. To access the Tool you will be required to register with the SPS website.
