Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has issued a Medicine Supply Notification (MSN) for Timolol (Tiopex®) 1mg/g gel eye drops 0.4g unit dose preservative free.

- Timolol (Tiopex®) 1mg/g gel eye drops 0.4g unit dose preservative free are out of stock until late March 2022.
- Alternative strengths of timolol (Eysano®) 2.5mg/ml and 5mg/ml preservative free eye drops in multi-dose bottles remain available and can support an increase in demand during this time
- Timolol 2.5mg/ml and 5mg/ml eye drops containing a preservative also remain available.
A copy of this medicine supply notification, including further information, has been sent to all pharmacy NHS email addresses.
DHSC and NHSE/I have now launched an online Medicines Supply Tool, which provides up to date information about medicine supply issues. The contents of these MSNs can now be viewed on the Tool. To access the Tool you will be required to register with the SPS website.
