January 18, 2018

PSNC has met and agreed its work plan for 2018, as well as proposals that would develop community pharmacy services to allow pharmacy teams to better support people with long-term conditions.

PSNC’s January meeting was held on the 9th and 10th of the month, and key agenda items included:

  • Interim proposals for the future of the Quality Payments Scheme, the Community Pharmacy Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Advanced Service, and the Pharmacy Access Scheme;
  • Price concessions;
  • Proposals for the development of the community pharmacy contractual framework (CPCF); and
  • NHS England’s consultation to stop routine prescribing of some over-the-counter (OTC) medicines.

Further information regarding PSNC’s ongoing work will be shared with LPCs and contractors as soon as possible.
