Reminder: Winter vaccines campaign materials to start arriving from Monday

Community pharmacy contractors are reminded that the campaign materials for the Winter vaccines campaign will start arriving in pharmacies via Royal Mail from Monday (8th November 2021).

The Winter vaccines campaign pack is the second mandated health campaign for 2021/22 (as agreed by NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSE&I) and PSNC) and contractors must participate in this as it is part of their NHS contractual requirements.

The campaign pack includes a briefing sheet; four A4 posters; one Q&A leaflet; and one A6 shelf wobbler. Social media and digital resources for the campaign are also available.

Contractors are also reminded that they are required to have an action plan as to how the pharmacy team will promote COVID-19 vaccinations, particularly in Black, Asian and minority ethnic and low uptake communities as part of the requirements for the Addressing unwarranted variation in care Domain of the 2021/22 Pharmacy Quality Scheme. Participation in this campaign could therefore be included as an action in a pharmacy’s action plan.

If contractors have not received the campaign materials by 1st December 2021, they should email Marketing@dhsc.gov.uk stating the pharmacy’s name, address and the name of the campaign that campaign materials are missing for.
