RSG launches round of focus groups

The RSG is developing options for how NHS Community Pharmacy representation and support could operate in the future and wants to hear your views on initial options.

Contractors, LPCs, PSNC Members and contractor trade body representatives are being invited to attend a series of focus groups and workshops at which they will help to further develop and evolve the potential options​.

Contractors and LPC representatives (maximum two per LPC – usually the Chair and Chief Officer) are invited to sign up for one of a series of focus group events as listed below. Draft materials on options for future models of national and local representative and support organisations will be shared in advance, and the sessions will be a chance to hear more and to share views with RSG Members.

Feedback from all of these events and from other engagement being carried out by the RSG will be used to develop an updated set of options which will be the subject of further consultation in September.

Please note: There will be time for further reflection and feedback after the meetings, and contractors and LPC representatives will be invited to consult further in September, ahead of engagement with the entire sector.

The timings of the focus groups are based on feedback from contractors and LPCs. For contractors, we have offered evening meetings at a later start time, or an option to attend one of two ‘Express Sessions’ at lunchtime. LPCs, we have offered a range of mostly daytime events for the LPC focus groups, with an option to attend an evening meeting.

In addition to these focus groups directly with contractors and LPC representatives, the RSG will be meeting with the trade bodies (AIM, CCA and NPA) in July to capture their inputs and views on behalf of their respective memberships.
