Updated C-19 LFD Distribution Service: Marketing materials and deadline to withdraw

THIS CONTENT HAS NOW EXPIRED

An updated version of the NHS Community Pharmacy COVID-19 Lateral Flow Device (LFD) Distribution Service (Pharmacy Collect) service specification will apply from 4th October 2021. Ahead of this change, PSNC wants to remind community pharmacy contractors of the following points:

Marketing materials

Contractors who are providing the COVID-19 LFD Distribution Service, where space permits, are asked to display the new NHS Test and Trace marketing materials.

These materials aim to support pharmacy staff to proactively inform people who use the service of the need to register for a collect code.

The package of materials, which was sent out via DX couriers two weeks ago, included A3 and A4 colour posters and A5 flyers. Contractors are asked to display at least one of the posters and to hand out the A5 flyers to citizens who are picking up rapid COVID-19 tests in the run up to the change in the service.

Contractors who did not receive their materials should contact PharmacyCollect@dhsc.gov.uk stating the pharmacy name, ODS code and pharmacy address to request replacement materials.

Deadline to withdraw from provision

Contractors who have decided not to provide the amended LFD distribution service from 4th October 2021, are reminded that the deadline to provide the required notice to NHS Test and Trace is 23:59 on 26th September 2021.

Contractors who are yet to send their withdrawal notice should email pharmacy.collect.queries@dhsc.gov.uk before the deadline.
