CPS Privacy Notice

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and relevant provisions of domestic law – i.e. the UK Data Protection Act 2018 – comes into force today (25th May 2018). This legislation aims to give people more control over their personal data.

The data that CPS holds is necessary to help us fulfil our core functions:

  1. Represent community pharmacy contractors in Sheffield to raise awareness of the current and potential value of community pharmacy to commissioners, other health & social care professionals, patients and the public.
  2. Support contractors through the proposed national changes to the sector & with the delivery of national & locally commissioned services.
  3. Develop skill mix within the community pharmacy teams to rise to the challenges of changes in community pharmacy practice & develop new services to meet the needs of the local populations, developing the integration of community pharmacy into the heart of primary care in Sheffield.

CPS takes data protection seriously and has always been careful with this data, ensuring that it is kept secure and that is only accessible to PSNC staff who need it for their work.

We have published our Privacy Notice and provide it to you for information, see here: CPS Privacy Statement 2018
