Essential for new pre-registration tutors and those in need of refreshing their knowledge and skills, these training events are held jointly with hospital tutors to enhance and support your learning

The study day will cover:  

  • Milestones in pre-registration training – the journey from pharmacy graduate to pharmacist
  • The GPhC registration requirements – Performance
  • Standards and Future Pharmacists S.10 Learning Outcomes
  • The GPhC Assessment Framework
  • Key roles of a pre-registration tutor:
    • Mentoring trainees to demonstrate competence as a pharmacist
    • Assessment of trainee evidences
    • Review of e-portfolios
    • Acting as an audit supervisor
    • Supporting a trainee in difficulty
  • HEE Pharmacy Education reforms updates – recruitment via the ORIEL portal
  • Support systems and professional development for  pre-registration tutors

Please note: All community pharmacy tutors working in Suffolk are welcome to apply for these events but CCA tutors should do so with the support of their company. Funding of £250 can be claimed from the LPC on completion of the training day and a short evaluation questionnaire, to support engagement.
