Smoking Cessation Pharmacy Consultation

Smoking Cessation Pharmacy Consultation

June 10, 2020

One Life Suffolk have developed two surveys in order to get direct feedback from pharmacy teams regarding the Stop Smoking Service.

Our last newsletter advised that the service wouldn’t require carbon monoxide (CO) monitoring for the time being and smoking status will become ‘self-reported’ and not CO-verified.
One Life recommend that behavioural support continued to be provided via telephone instead of face-to-face and that clients continue to receive stop smoking medications and if possible, be adaptable to make sure that this happens.

Please see the link to our Smoking Cessation Services page which provides the contract document which are the same on PharmOutcomes.

Please do take the time to provide feedback via the correct applicable link below as this information will also enable the LPC to know if and how we should promote this service to the wider public.

https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/N6HDPGJ – Survey for pharmacies who currently offer a smoking cessation service.

https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/NBSK78M – Survey for pharmacies not offering a smoking cessation service.

PSNC have also recently added a COVID advice for smokers and vapers page; which highlights further why it is more important than ever that the right kind of smoking cessation service is available to the public.
